Cheryl's Excitement

Cheryl had an adrenaline rush on the way to school this morning. She was driving down Research Blvd and the snow had drifted into the lane she was driving in and before she knew it she was spinning out of control and ended up just off the road facing the opposite way that she was driving. A co-worker was driving behind her and she said that she did not know how Cheryl didn't flip the car over. She also said that it seemed like someone gently put the car to rest off to the side of the road. Now, Cheryl was off the road enough that she could not drive back to the road but we both know Who it was that gently placed her off of the road and protected her during the entire ordeal. Praise God for Cheryl and the baby's safety.

New Contest

OK everyone. We are going to have a contest. First of all. Does everyone know that Cheryl is pregnant with our third baby? If not, SURPRISE!

The contest is going to have two parts.

First part is: Do you think Cheryl is going to have a boy or a girl?

The second part: Whether or not you think the baby will be a girl or a boy what would your favorite first and middle name be. (for a boy and a girl) Cheryl, Abigail, Caleb and I will talk over the name suggestions and see which ones we like the best. There will be awards for the most creative, funniest, names we like the most and whatever awards that we can come up with. We look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Caleb's New BooBoo

Caleb fell off of the chair today and bumped his head. I did not see or hear him hit since I was sleeping but I definitely heard the aftermath. Cheryl said that it made a loud THUMP. He didn't cry for too long though. He is quite a tough little boy, even for being as sweet as he is.

Abigail wanted a tent in her room so we decided to make one for her and it's been up ever since. I think that was about 3-4 weeks ago. You can also see how much of a mess that these two sweet sweet youngsters can make each day.

Something funny happened earlier tonight. Caleb broke one of Abigail's head band do-jobbies and Abigail walked over to him and said, "Oh buddy, you broke it. Sit in time out." Then she put her hand on his back and walked him over to the time out mat and sat him down and told him, "Sit in time out buddy." Caleb went with her and sat down and started to cry. Mommy then had to get Caleb out of time out and tell Abigail that it was just an accident and that mommy and daddy are the only ones who can put her brother in time out.

It's kinda funny, if Caleb will not listen, I sometimes tell him that if he doesn't listen then he will have to sit in time out. Then he starts crying and walks over to the TO mat and sits down before I can even get him to do whatever it was that I wanted him to do. Usually it's for not doing the dishes. I mean come on he's almost two! I'm just kidding. Don't start calling me Martha Stewart.

Rainbow Rice

We decided to make some colored rice for the kids to play with. It was pretty easy. Get a ziplock bag and put a bunch of food coloring in, then pour in some rubbing alcohol and finally dump a bunch of rice in it and shake the hooey out of it and voila you have some rainbow rice.

We put the rice in a sand table toy of Abigail and Caleb's and put it in the basement for them to play with. Needless to say, we now have most of the rice all over the floor. But, they had such a good time doing it.
